Meet Our Professional Counselors & Staff:

ANNE MOURTAJA

Anne Mourtaja has worked at ACCESS since 2009, first, as an LPC Intern, then earning her LPC in 2014. She received her MS from Purdue University and BS from St. Louis University. She taught elementary and middle school for 18 years in Texas and overseas schools in South America. She worked as an elementary school counselor in Illinois and middle school counselor for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in Houston, Texas for 8 years. She has facilitated workshops for parents on topics such as ADHD, parenting skills, divorce recovery and grief groups for children. She has initiated peer mediation programs in two middle schools. Her specialties include individual counseling, anger management, conflict resolution and family counseling. She is bilingual and is able to conduct sessions in Spanish. Morning and afternoon sessions available Tuesdays- Thursdays.

LINDA LEE

Linda Herndon Lee has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1994. She received a Bachelor of Art degree from Southern Methodist University and a Master in Science of Counseling from Corpus Christi State University. Linda specializes in many areas which include family conflicts, marriage counseling, depression and anxiety issues, life transitions, women’s issues, and divorce recovery. Session formats include individual, couples, or families (children 8 years and older). Sliding scale, insurance, and Medicaid programs accepted.

DAWN EDWARDS

Dawn Edwards is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) educated at Hazelden Addictions Counselor Training in 1995-1996. She worked at the Sundown Ranch in Canton for one year, County Rehabilitation Center in Tyler a total of 3-1/2 years as well as Northeast Texas Treatment Center in Overton for two years before coming to our area in September of 2003. Morning and evening appointments offered.
